I have two books going right now and will have over 200 pages left in each so I can count them.
The Weight of Ink by Rachel Kadish, which fits “book over 500 pages” plus a few more prompts.
Music In The Hills by D.E. Stevenson which is a nice comfort read, had black and white on the cover, and more.
I’ve added these to the spreadsheet under the Planning Tab.
Can’t wait for tomorrow to start!

All 4 at the moment are on my 2022 ATY plan, 1 is >500 pages (and is the next book in a series) and I still have half left, but will probably set it aside for the week because it has been a slog that I don't think I'll get through. I have an audio in progress so I'll get at least 2 hours of that in while I clean tomorrow, and 2 are by new to me authors.
I'll start adding to the spread sheet when I wake up in the morning

I’m getting ready for bed now, but Ill add to the spreadsheet in the morning. I work 12 hour shifts both weekend days so I probably wont be able to really get into reading until Monday.

I also have some short books that I can read for the challenge after those are completed.
Looking forward to the team challenge!

A quick search this morning led me to Thicker Than Blood byMadeline Sheehan (Zombies! Dystopia!) which is right up my alley, so I'm going to try and finish that up today because I was able to find it on Scribd. That will get one of our harder prompts done. (Ha! Just realized its over 500 pages too- Hopefully it reads quick!!) The others I have in the works also fit for categories.
Don't forget that even if what you read or listen to doesn't match a prompt, we still get sprinkles for pages and hours listened.
Have fun everyone!

I am currently reading:

and have two more downloaded:

I hope to finish 6-7 books during this challenge.

Hey Team,
I'm currently working my way through a historical mystery series. Hopefully they will work for some of the prompts. Should definitely get a lot of pages done this week, as I am off work for the entire read-a-thon.

They both fit a variety of prompts and I should finish both of them tomorrow. I looked at the planning tab and noticed we had nothing for a Book set in Italy -- I slotted in

@Tatra- Depending on what other categories start to fill up, I may move your book in the spreadsheet. I can see at least a few other places it would fit (Red on the Cover, or under 250 pages- but I think Joan is working on that today)

Should I change the way I'm entering my books in the columns? We have two different ways going.

That's fine! A Testament to Murder is also one of my ATY reads. I also added The Heartwood Sea and Anya's Ghost. I'm on a roll today.

I added in some color coded columns to make it a little easier ( I hope) to see what we finished. It also adjusts the number of books planned out for each prompt on the main planning page :-)
Finished my first book. Added it to the spreadsheet as a Book read for 2022 ATY challenge.
On to my next one.
On to my next one.

We've already collectively read almost 3000 pages together and listened to around 23 hours of audio- that earned us 4 sprinkles of sprinkles so far! We also Finished our first Madeleines.
@Tatra, I moved Testament to Murder over to Mini Rolls- Red on the cover

Started Summer of Salt last night- MUCH needed after the last book I read. I love it so far ( and it was another random pick). After that I need to get started on The Grace Year and The Last House on Needless Street since I need to get them back to the library in 3 days.
I'll move onto a book with a yellow cover next on my kindle.
Hope you're all having fun reading and a great weekend!

I have a little over 160 pages left of Empire of the Vampire and 4 hours left of Will. My planned vacation for this week has been cut short unfortunately (someone unexpectedly left the company) so I will be working tonight -- but I should finish my physical book today and the audio book tomorrow.

I should be able to finish my audio book tomorrow. I'm not sure it would count for anything besides hours though. It's I Miss You When I Blink: Essays.

@Tatra- Depending on what other categories start to fill up, I may mov..."
No problem. Read it last year :)

I highly recommend Fan Girl!

Hi Joan - was it for an ATY prompt? Or is this a new author for you? Maybe just a cover with red on it?

Maybe a comfort read? I can't tell if it would work for that but maybe.
"Like a pep talk from a sister, I Miss You When I Blink is the funny, poignant, and deeply affecting book you’ll want to share with all your friends, as you learn what Philpott has figured out along the way: that multiple things can be true of us at once—and that sometimes doing things wrong is the way to do life right. "
Or there a few places we could move Tatra's book again LOL- less than 250 pages, and put this in red on the cover. (Or start doubling up, we still have about a week)

Ended up staying up til 1am to finish the God Game last night. I have a little over two hours left in the audiobook I am in, so hopefully will be able to squeeze that in by EOD.

I also have to say for thriller fans who haven't read The Last House on Needless Street.... DO IT!!!!!!! I'm going to say thriller- it's really not horror. It was so good!!
Summer of Salt was also excellent if you like YA, witchy, magical realism and a little LGBTQ romance. It was a random pick but I'm so glad I stumbled across it. 2 five star reads in one day!! (Anything may have ended up being a 5 star after the Madeline book, ha!)

Sorry - got stuck on a work project. It's definitely a new to me author. If we need that spot we can put it there. I think there is a red eyelash on it as well. It could also be a comfort read.

How is everyone doing? I'm hoping to get a chunk read tonight.

I've just finished two short books, The Lifted Veil (101 pages) and Harry's Bar: The Life & Times of the Legendary Venice Landmark (192 pages). I'll add them to the spreadsheet a little later.

I put The Lifted Veil for "curmudgeonly character" so we've finished a cannoli.
Harry's Bar is for "set in Italy"

I fell asleep reading it last night Kathy!! So exhausted!! I was off to a rough start with the Madeline book, but the last 3 I've read have been SO good! I'm having too much fun reading this week. Lots of work to catch up on today and tomorrow. I'm actually hoping we do have a snow day tomorrow because it will be easier to catch up from home! I hate snow LOL.
Hope your reading ( and everyone's) has been just as amazing :-)

My reading will probably slow down. My daughter's visiting so we have stuff planned.

The Paris Wife ( Set in France)
Remarkable Creatures (Shell on the cover)
The Perfect Marriage(Circle on the cover)
Edit: I owned one of these on my kindle, got one one on Libby and started it last night (Paris wife) and got the other on Scribd- getting my moneys worth for the read-a-thon, it's my first time using it and I'm on my third book. Sad this is almost over :-(

It's time to fill your bakery case with goodies. You will read books to bake sweets and pastries! Each pastry takes a different number of books, depending on complexity.
You can bake your pastries in any order that you'd like, and you can bake multiple pastries at once (infinite oven space!). Don't forget about your sprinkles! You get some for every 1000 pages read (or 10 hours of audio listed to).
You'll want to create the best bakery case that you can bake, so make sure you have at least one of every type of goodie... they are all important to your score! You can have multiples of the same types of pastries as well.
