I had started this project but finished organizing it; and am currently REALLY enjoying what I have wrought.
I am doing this interesting POV experiment with Robert Jordan (Brandon Sanderson’s) Wheel of Time books. I was interested in “listening” (I do audio books) to each characters story without cutting back and forth to other characters. So I picked a point (later in the books, did not go back to Book 1) where all the main characters were separated and having their own adventures; and marked where several of them got back together towards the end (branching off and back as needed) until the stories were so intertwined as not to make sense to do this anymore.
Since most chapters are already POV chapters, it was easy to figure out which went where. Minor character POVs stayed with the main character they were with.
I’ve now listed to several of the plot lines in this manner, just skipping ahead as needed. It has been a lot of fun and interesting as I’m covering plot lines that occur over 3 or more books, as if it was “one” book about the POV character. I think of the YEARS in between finding out how they plots went!
An example (spoilers ahead) is Egwene's rise to Amyrlyn. Went back, and listened to only the POVs in the Rebel Camp after N & E left, Egwene's capture and time in the Tower, being accepted by the Tower, and then all the Tower stuff until they left the Tower for the meeting with Rand.
Not suggesting anyone else do this (it was a bit of work); but I wanted to share the fun I am having.
