SOLVED. Children's book about a boy (Christopher?) who finds dinosaur bones by the river Thames. [s]

Old children's literature. I remember the book was called Christopher's Dinosaurs , but it is nowhere to be found ; so I am probably wrong.

Sadly that's not it.
I read it during the late 90's , but the story was possibly written and set in an older time. It's a novel.

I remember some more about the book- First chapter begins with the 11 year old boy sitting on a couch at home, trying to pick up a pencil with his toes - I think the narrative was about him being bored during summer holidays. Then one day he discovers the fossils by the riverbed of Thames. And there was an archaeological site nearby, so the story revolves around archeology, fossils etc around this boy.

I think that's it, Ayshe!! Thank you so much both of you ! I never expected to find it. Ayshe - have you read it too? I guess prints of the book aren't easily available anymore, but I'm still happy to finally find out the name.
