As an educator I love to read books for the younger readers and this one I thought was amazing for delivering an engaging story with a strong message of being able to deal with trauma. This story isn't just about the flash flood, it is also about the MC dealing with PTSD after losing her mother in a random shooting. I am going to recommend it to my book loving niece
