That's a great start!
Feel you on the BR (I have yet to experience it with folks in the group).
This BOTM, I had to suppress myself so that I don't spoil stuff for others participating. Pretty sure I gave away few things. :D
I started the same way Jan -16 but Feb it's only been 3 books so far. Not sure if I'll be able to continue the momentum.
Definitely planning to cover more by the end of the year though. My tbr is overflowing. Sigh!
All the best for your reading plans! :)
@Vislakshi well hope to cross 10. That could look tricky with my current work schedule in the coming days. let's see
@Bookworm the more I try to finish my tbr, the more books I ending up adding. I'm starting to think it's a blessing and a curse at the same time
So here's the update for mid Feb.5 books down so far
Next 5 books I'm reading are: (and I hope I don't deviate)
A Murder of Quality by John Le Carre (Book 2 of George Smiley)
Prince of Ayodhya by Ashok K Banker (Book 1 of the Ramayana series)
This is how you lose the time war by Max Gladstone
The Miracles of the Namiya General Store by Keigo Higashino (recommended by @Em)
The Mystery of the stuttering parrot by Alfred Hitchcock (Book 2 of the Three Investigators)

'This is how you lose the time war' - Most have liked it but they felt it's bit slow for the first half. I have yet to read it though.
'The Miracles of Namiya General Store' - I read this recently (Em's rec) and really liked it. At this point, I can safely say that I'll like whatever Higashino writes.
Happy Reading! :)
Well, March is here. February was good. I managed to finish 11 books including all the ones I planned. Well not exactly, I did not start the 3 investigators book. Something else grabbed my attention.March should be another good month. Ideally, I plan to read 10 books plus whatever I can squeeze in. So here's my next 10 TBR list.
The Paris Apartment
Beach Read
The Priory of the Orange Tree
Finlay Donovan Knocks 'Em Dead
1Q84
Tigana
A Flicker in the Dark
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue
Howl’s Moving Castle
Siege of Mithila
I have read 2, 5,6, and 9. Beach read was okayish, 1Q84 was my first taste of Murakami and its my least liked out of the three books that I have read. Tigana is one of all time favorites, and Howl's Moving Castle is just fantastic.
Will keep an for your reviews.

After a dreadful 2021, where I barely read any books, I started strong this year. 15 books in January and with another 10 planned for this month, I hope to continue this before eventually falling off the cliff.
This year will again as usual be mostly fantasy, something that I've missed sorely the last couple of years. Although this time, I'm also following what you'll be reading and will hope to read a smattering of other genres. Strictly avoiding classics and romance, so might not be able to take part in all group activities but for the rest I'm game.
I will also be going back to my younger days when Georgina, Jupiter Jones, Joe Hardy and Nancy Drew were my staple diet. Strictly at least 1 book per month. I already started on 3 investigators and in Feb, I'd like to read their second adventure and start with Five Find-outers and a Dog series once again.
Also, if you guys are taking part in any interesting book challenges, let me know. I'd like to try it out as well.
Buddy reads have been a failure. I read way too fast.
