Katrisa | 4478 comments Mine looks good Sharon except that my zoo book is The Zookeepers' War: An Incredible True Story from the Cold War not wife.
I just finished Death in Her Hands which was weird - as most of her work is, but I liked it.

I am going to go look and see what I can fit in for the last push! I saw our planning sheet has a hole for Berlin 5, but on the spreadsheet it has Emma for a book, so if that is correct Emma, I'll just see what I can find for Tokyo. :)

message 159: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 4478 comments Ok my library has The Night Train available and it is pretty short. I will start that tonight for Tokyo 3

message 160: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 4478 comments I can also do Tokyo 9 with North of the Border

message 161: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 4478 comments And Tokyo 10 with The Canyon's Edge

I love fantasy, so I was happy to read for this prompt. With reading prompts from this group, I usually have to challenge myself to read outside my comfort zones, so it was a nice change of pace to read a book on my personal TBR pile

I have actually read this one and enjoyed it! I always forget about his books.

I am currently engaging in some hardcore escapism. A 12 year old student at my school died last week and books are my go-to place when the real world sucks too much.

message 169: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 4478 comments I finished Tokyo 3,9,10 last night and today. I checked out available audios from the library that were short and found Forget Me Not
Forget Me Not by Ellie Terry
for Tokyo 1
I also got The Sweet Life in Paris: Delicious Adventures in the World's Most Glorious - and Perplexing - City for Tokyo 8 and I am hoping to finish both by end of toppler tomorrow morning, but we'll see

Katrisa | 4478 comments Hey Sharon - I figured I'd move my chat to this thread - what grade/s did you teach/admin for? Were you elementary or HS?

Christina ❤️M❤️ (christir1159) | 1 comments Okay, I am 87% with Random Acts of Baby and still have 4 hours on the audio of The World Played Chess... Not going to make it on the audio. I'm going to finish the ebook tonight and probably won't get up in time tomorrow to listen.

Laura (apenandzen) | 3380 comments I did finish my second book for Chicago 7, to finish it up. I’ll go report.

It was fun toppling with you ladies 📚❤️

message 175: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Hopper | 2435 comments Can someone help me with scoring, please? I know we are not quite finished. I am up to date on what everyone has read as noted in our planning chart. I hurt my back yesterday and am a tad bit “loopy” from the meds. I would like someone to help with the scoring if possible.

message 176: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 4478 comments I checked to make sure the spreadsheet matched our reporting thread and added the bonus for completing Chicago so the score on the spreadsheet looks accurate.
I should finish The Sweet Life in Paris: Delicious Adventures in the World's Most Glorious - and Perplexing - City in time too and will add it. It is quite funny :)

message 177: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Hopper | 2435 comments Wonderful! I had 490 pts. As well. That is just outstanding!

That you everyone for helping, reading and being a great group to work with! I had a great time. Everyone participated and worked as a team. Y’all are awesome!

Thank you. The pills are helping. LOL! Just a bit woozie. Our community book fair is in a couple of weeks and that’s what I get for unpacking books. Totally worth it!

message 181: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) | 3380 comments Absolutely! 😄

message 182: by Jenn (new)

Jenn | 3029 comments I am very sorry for the late report, but I was still out shoveling snow when I finished The Queen's Assassin for Berlin #2, and had to finish before I could come in and log in.

And, I am so sorry for your loss Katrisa, that is utterly heartbreaking. But, I am glad that the Toppler was so well timed to help with keeping you occupied.

Thank you all for an awesome Toppler, I would say that we all did a fabulous job knocking books off of the pile by the bed ;)

message 183: by Emma R. (new)

Emma R. | 195 comments I just woke up and updated the spreadsheet. With Jenn's addition, it looks like we are at 520 points with 45 books read. I don't know if it is too late for the updated score or not...

message 184: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Hopper | 2435 comments I have sent another message to Kristie. I am not sure if it is too late or not.

I just saw,Katrissa , where you are struggling with a death of a student. My thoughts are with you, your faculty, the other students and parents. It is a hard, hard thing.

message 185: by Sharon (new)
