I'm looking for the title of a book I loved as a child (late 90s/early 00s). I assume it may have been published in the UK or Canada but I’m not sure.

The cover of the book was kind of dark and there was a girl sitting on a couch with popcorn watching tv or a movie and her younger sister can be seen kind of hiding behind the couch (watching but scared) and holding her teddy bear (which I believe was pink).

The story is about these two sisters and (I believe it is) their grandfather tells them bed time stories about Wilberforce (and maybe others) that fascinate them but particularly the older sister. One day playing outside some older kids (I think teenagers) come along and take her bear and are teasing her about it. Her sister comes out and tells them off and is threatening about what will happen to them when her strong Uncle Wilberforce comes because he gave her sister the bear.

My Google searches have not been able to help me — so if anyone else knows of this book or remembers it or is able to find it, I would be very appreciative!
