I signed up for a Discord account but the link sends me to a blank page too... I searched TOB22 but it came back with no results. :/

I was able to get in when they first posted the link with the longlist announcement, but I haven't been able to keep up with that space. I'll post my bracket there, but I'd love for us to still do our own here as well (where people send a book to the winner), if others are up for that. :)

I'm neutral on doing a bracket contest just there vs both places. If we do both, I could one for "what I'd pick" and one for "what I think will happen" but I'm guaranteed to lose both anyway...
I am in the Discord server, but I can't keep up with it. For the brackets, it looks like you just upload an image of your filled-out bracket to the right channel?
for GR, how would we upload the image? (Since GR doesn't let us load images directly to GR, they have to be linked from another site.)

Yes, even though I'm likely to lose both ways as well, I'm also tempted to make one bracket of what I think will happen, and one that's what I want to happen... ;)

We're lucky to have a spreadsheet genius here (Amy) who has set those up for us in the past. We fill in our brackets in spreadsheet columns, and like magic (or just math?), the scores are calculated with each decision. I've enjoyed sending a surprise book to the previous year's winners!

"I was thinking when I saw the Discord process of uploading images that they have a lot to learn from Amy!
My screen froze during the registration process....this doesn't bode well.
I'd really like us to do our brackets competition here. We've all been talking about the books together all along. And the way Amy does the spreadsheet, it is easy to see everyone's predictions, which is half the fun.

Can anyone help me get into the Discord server? I registered for an account but I don't understand how to search for TOB. Thank you! The links above aren't working anymore. They say they've expired.

I just tried that link and got the same result. It's because my computer is logged into my daughter's Discord account, and she is not a member of the ToB channel.
I used the link from TMN page, and it worked for me. You need to find the right like that acts as an "invitation" to that group, once you're "invited" you will be able to see it.

alright folks, you only have <2wks left before the tournament kicks off so I finally readied our bracket contest for everyone! Apologies for the delay (I will blame it on new puppy!?) for those of us who would like to compete amongst ourselves... here's the bracket to fill out! please include your name and I'll freeze it Monday night Mar 7th!

OK -- I did the old "turn the computer off and on again" dance, and after several tries and verifications, I actually got into Discord, and saw that I AM indeed registered in the ToB group, although I have no idea how. I don't know how we'll get there tomorrow from the ToB website, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Phyllis, I didn't see a "who just signed in" thread. I'll try again.

I got connected to Discord on first try, no problem. But yeah, I'm a little nervous about it. Never thought I'd say "I miss Disqus..."

(On TikTok as well.) I hadn't realized it was being used by anyone but teens! But apparently it (and TikTok) have book communities.
I hope this works okay. It's going to feel very disconnected for me, between the judgment, Discord and here, that's 3 places to visit each day...My head will spin.

We've only been here for four days but it has been the best vacation we've ever taken, I can't recommend it more!

I can't currently open Discord on my phone, I get an updated Terms of Service message that fills my screen and won't go away, no matter how many times I tap "Got It" - anyone else stuck?
