Audience: Teenagers
The book is a part of a series.
What I can remember of the plot:
It starts out with a teenager and his friend breaking into a warehouse. The teenager gets caught by the police.
We then get some back story about the teenager. The teenagers mom and dad died in a traffic accident when the teenager was young. The teenager was meant to be in the car with his mom and dad on that day. But the day before the accident, he dreamt that they would crash and die. So he insisted on not going with them.
After the backstory, the teenager goes to the court. And the court sends him to a remote farm away from the city.
He doesn't like doing work on the farm. One day he gets sent to a village close by the farm. He senses that something is wrong in the village. At one point in the book, the teenager realises that he can see into the future.
From this point on I can only remember short sequences of the book.
Close to the farm in a forrest, there is some kind of abandoned nuclear reactor. But the teenager notices that there are sometimes lights turned on in there.
I then remember something about a portal opening at the nuclear reactor? And that at the end of the book, someone falls into some nuclear liquid, and dies.
I hope that someone can help me in finding this book.
