[WPF] The Venice Sketchbook by Rhys Bowen - 4 stars

My first Rhys Bowen book. It was good, I really liked it. The dual stories (grounded in the history) and their related past to present switchbacks kept it interesting and moving at a nice pace thus allowing the mystery to unfold. I've never been to Venice but was able to easily visualize its beauty based on Bowen's descriptive and attentive writing style. The romance wasn't overdone but rather kept at a simmer which was fine by me. One part history, one part mystery and one part romance, all around a nice read that I would recommend. Now I want to go to Venice...
