I plan on reading this soon. I wasn't a fan of book 1 but hoping the series gets better. What are everyone's expectations? :)

I liked book 1 enough so I'm looking forward to this read. I like the more elderly scythe characters like Faraday and Curie.

Me too! I wasn't a fan of the mcs but i like the male mc more (i've forgotten their names, help!)

oh yes! i liked rowan more but found citra very blank. :/
also book 1 had those 'they let out a breath they didn't know they were holding' quotes more than once, which was so annoying.

I know what you mean. In this case, I didn't notice that too much, but doesn't sound off. But for The Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, the mc kept mentioning her "quick feet" and I dnf-ed that real quick. Couldn't look past it.

ooh i was not a fan of red queen series either! aveyard has a tendency to repeat words a lot.

Yes 4 books! I even read Aveyard's new release Realm Breaker. Comparatively better, but sadly still a 2 star.

Hi, I'm actually also currently reading Thunderhead. I read the first two books of the series in middle school, but I've forgotten what's happened since then. So now, I'm reading both the first and second books simultaneously, which may or may not be the best idea, but I'm enjoying them very much so far. Also, I'm still trying to figure out how to use this community feature, so I don't even know if I'll be able to come back to this discussion lol anyway, happy reading!

Im still waiting to get the 1st book from the library (the wait is killing me!) but if i get it soon ill be able to start this one this month too bc i already have this and the next book on my shelf lol

I finished Thunderhead yesterday. Did not disappoint. I like it as much as Scythe.

this was so much better than scythe

book 1 was low stakes, you can kind of guess the ending, but it built the world up nicely

book 2 was the complete opposite, there were consequences for actions lots of Bad Things happening, the ending had me shook
