Maybe we should get together and write a cozy murder mystery where the killer or Detective finds all the tips on Pinterest...lol. I can do the research. Oh I kill me, that is too funny.

The book is a smooth, quick read. Does remind me of Grind in a way.
Pghfan, have you heard anything from Joan? I know she was going in for surgery and then when I wrote her, e-mail bounced saying acct. was closed. And Jh1 has been MIA since before Christmas. Our PI's... :-(

And LOL on the mystery/Pinterest book. It would be a fresh, new twist on the genre.
As for the story, I must be too Goody2Shoes but I was a disappointed with Mel's stealing competition's gig by blocking her car and taking her place at the function. Who knows how much work and money the other gal spent on a campaign to earn that job. Can't score job on her own so she's steals acct. One doesn't mess with ones livelihood. And then her rep takes a hit for not showing up. But that's me. I'd do anything to get clues and info but not that.

Just goes to prove you can't go wrong with a cupcake. For me, it's all about the frosting though. I can leave the cake portion but I love me some frosting!
Hey guys, I'm still here, just didn't want you all to think I fell off the grid! I've been a little busy with this thing called being an adult. It really sucks at times...lol....but not always. Last week my daughter's water froze at their house so I had two of the grandbabies, and their school kept canceling so they were staying with us, and when there here there is no time for reading for me, BUT I did read. One of them had a book report that was coming due, so I read Black Beauty. Then we knocked out the book report! Then we got another 6.5 inches of snows, which made it a good day for them to play in the snow, and then they wanted soup so together we made homemade chicken soup, they did an awesome job on helping. They got tasting to make sure there is enough seasoning down to an art! Then they each wanted to spend time with the puppies, Farrah was fine with them as long as they didn't try picking the puppies up, she loves the kids and would never hurt them, but she is very protective of her babies. They finally went home, and I spent the next day cleaning up my house and putting it back together. So hopefully I can get caught up on reading! I've missed you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow - all of that going on Jill and 6.5 inches of snow too! And we've been having unseasonably warm weather for our area. It was actually almost 70 degrees last weekend. Strange. Black Beauty is a wonderful book. Think it was the 1st horse book I read around age 7 (?) or so and started my "horse-phase" lol. Pretty sure I read them all after that.
Started the thread for the last section of this book...it's ready whenever you gals are. Did I mention there are RECIPES in this book too? Oh these authors and the delicious food and me on Weight Watchers lol.
Austin, my grand daughter will be 7 in Sept. She's the one that we read Black Beauty together. Oh the memories it brought back, and some things I had forgotten, and some things I had to keep to myself so I wouldn't spoil it for her. She enjoyed the book, as well as I did. I've got more bad weather coming in again this weekend, we have rain, sleet, and snow coming. YEA ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so ready for Spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm getting caught up on the book through!

I love to read in the winter. While it's cold outside, I'm curled up with my dogs, something warm to drink, my favorite blanket, or under the covers in bed, and a good book! It helps passes the long winter

I don't know if it's the influence of this book or what but I've been doing some baking lately...made Kahlua Chocolate Wacky Cake with homemade mocha frosting weekend before last and just yesterday made super delicious Rocky Road Fudge. Both recipes are found on Pinterest.
Darn Pinterest! I think I'm addicted...
