, Just Approved after 2 Months Waiting:
: This is kind of frustrating because I put in for books and usually if I don’t hear back really quickly, I will not get that book. Still, I’ll read several books and then suddenly 1-2 old requests get approved. I like getting the book, but makes it hard to catch up. This one easier since it’s release date is May.Added:
Happy got 2 more 2021 Books Read by 2/27. 6 to go.

Overall, good month, especially getting old books from 2021 read.
I've only read one book by her, Vicki, but I loved it. I have that one on my TBR too. I'll have to check it out on NG!
I finished
review
It was an easy read, but not the best mystery.
Now I only have 3 books on my NG shelf. I need to get requesting! When I looked over Xmas/NY there wasn't much. Hopefully publishers have started to post new books by now

I read my only one coming out in Feb, Sisters of the Forsaken Stars, and sadly, it was only average (3 stars). Now, to work on my much ignored backlist. I have plans for 2 others at minimum this month.

Things We Do in the DarkI love this author. Everything I have read by her is a hit for me."
Vicki, glad you got the book you wanted. Thanks for recommending this one. It sounds like one I might like. I am going to add it to my TBR.
Ok I got a few new ones :)
Most unsure about Mr Wickham because sometimes those types of books are awesome, and sometimes terrible. haha
And the last two are books for my work so not that exciting, but hopefully useful.

One more done but I also added one. I still have one more planned this month so hopefully it is better than 3 stars.#2 for Feb -

First review of the month: The Chase
my The Chase reviewI'm hoping to finish 2 or 3 more this month. Almost done my second read now.
I finally got my oldest book off my shelf! I received Sitting Murder in July of 2018. I'm so glad to have finally gotten to it. I now only have one book past publication. Almost there!

Thanks! 😁You'll get there, Melanie! This has been a long work in progress slowly pecking away at it. I can't wait to get that last one reviewed. Hopefully soon!

Melanie - I was there too. It took a year, but was worth it!
Yeah, I'm down by roughly half on my backlog from where I was a year ago so I'm getting there. Just slow progress working them in with my other reads. I try to get in a few a month so I'm hoping to have them cleared by later this year.

I put in for too many books when I started NetGalley. Good Luck.
Melanie and Kristine - I'll be watching for your posts about how you cleared your backlogs later this year!
Kristie wrote: "Melanie and Kristine - I'll be watching for your posts about how you cleared your backlogs later this year!"Kristie, thanks 😊 Great you finished Sitting Murder from 2018 📖. Nice Review
Thanks, Kristine. I just picked up
DIY Resin Crafting Projects. I have done resin pouring a couple of times and it's a lot of fun, so I figured I'd learn a little more about it.
I finished my 4th oldest book from 2016. I want to clear off my oldest books oldest. Those are from when i first started out and was not sure what i was doing.
Oh no I didn't. Yes I did. I added 3 read now books that they they e-mailed me about. What is going on here? There goes my resolve to not add any more.
Kristie wrote: "Oh, were they from the mystery & thriller newsletter, Maritza? Which books did you add?"Yes these were the ones I got
I already have Stay Awake, but I'm considering adding Breathless too. It looks so good. I just wasn't looking for something that publishes in May. I've been having some difficulty finding reading time and I'm trying not to fall behind again. I better decide soon though because that one ends quickly!
I missed Breathless. I thought it was 24 hours so it would still be read now in the morning. I went to bed, woke up, and it was for request. Probably for the best anyway. Though I do have that one on my TBR already. I'm hoping they'll post the audio.
