I've had that one for a long time, but haven't read it. Sounds interesting.

I need to start that one, too. I keep forgetting about it.
Thanks, y'all! 💕 It's been a rough couple of years, but we're hoping the extra eyes and helping hands will be good for mom (and us). Dementia sucks! My PNR review is coming up. Sorry I never shared my book choice. I picked it and read it in the same night! Couldn't sleep, so I read and read and read ... it was a fun read though, so that helped :)
In case you haven't seen, Team #4 won this round w/the PNR shelf. We can get our "we got all of the R21 stamps" stamp, if we all read & review for PNR, but I definitely understand if anyone needs/wants to bail without doing so. Up to y'all.

My Review:
Semi-Broken was maybe my favorite of the series, next to the first. All of your favorite HHI characters are involved, but this one focuses mostly on Lucas (werewolf, former detective with the Vampire Crimes Unit VCU) and Seven (Riddick's long-lost sister).
He made her feel like she belonged somewhere. Here, in Lucas’s arms, she wasn’t a mistake, a weapon, a freak. She was just… Seven.Seven's story, and that of Vi's "boyfriend", are quite sad, so it was great seeing her find his HEA. Her naivety was charming as she tries to find her place among the by-blood and by-choice family members welcoming her into the fold. I'm glad Lucas realized his heart as well because I do not like love triangles. While I knew there wouldn't really be one early on (thank you, Mrs. Jordan!), I still hated seeing him pine and moan over Harper's relationship with Riddick. We'll see what's in store for Vi and her probable HEA up next in Semi-Sane.
Harper and her family, not to mention those now working for her, continue to make me laugh. I'm enjoying this series so much more than I anticipated. I'm having no problem bouncing from one book to the next. I'm sure I'll have some snark withdrawals when I reach the end of my stash and the wait between books begins.
I started mine and will read it because I want to... I don't like writing reviews but I will if the rest of the teams wants to get the stamp!

I was really reaching for this but one lonely person tagged it as paranormal romance. Thank you, wherever you are.

Review:
Dr, Kent Abner began the day of his death comfortable and content.
Someone is using a deadly toxin to kill unsuspecting people and Eve must put all the pieces together to stop the killer.
It makes me incredibly sad when the murder victims are such nice, likeable people. I know that was the whole point of the crimes but it was still hard to read.
With that aside, this was a quick and easy read because the action flowed and kept me engaged. Eve and her crew work so well together that often words are not even needed to get the point across.
Peabody had one of my favorite scenes in the book when she goes off on a person of interest. I switched to the audio book just to hear her give the person a well deserved dressing down. She also handled herself well when called on the incident by Commander Whitney.
Eve and Roarke's relationship is so true and strong. There is a very touching scene with them cemented their commitment to each other. Gotta love it when tough as nails Eve makes me want to cry.
I love how Eve interviews the culprit and gets the info she needs for a conviction.
This series gets better with each book. I am getting close to being current. Whoo hoo!
I highly recommend this series.
Thanks for a great game! You are all wonderful players and I'm pleased to have played with you. LaurLa, thank you for leading us this round. I look forward to playing with you all again soon.
Great review, Cheryl!Same! Really appreciate ya taking the cap chair, LaurLa! I had fun reading along with y'all and reading through your reviews. As always, I've added more books to my TBR list 😁 Hope y'all will join us in future rounds!
Love this bingo game!! And what a great team we were! ;-) Thanks, everyone, it was a fun (but very short round!) Thank you, LaurLa, for being our fearless leader this round! I'm not the best at writing reviews, but I love to read them! I too added more books from your brilliant reads/reviews!Looking forward to the next round!!
I love hearing that, Angie 😊 Makes me happy that y'all enjoy the game as much as we do.It was a quick round, but loads of fun. We had a great quad! 😁
Since I discovered the game, I've only missed one round and that was only because I missed sign-ups....I think I was traveling for work.

Review:
A little background on the series first. This is the 2nd book in the Moonstone Cove series from the "new" genre, Paranormal Women's Fiction. The first book was so much fun! Fate literally threw together 3 women that would probably never cross paths in their day to day routines, AND a twist of fate gave supernatural abilities to each of them. But, it was the perfect storm. The book could have started with "a professor, a housewife and a mechanic walk into a gym".
Moving on to this book.....
Toni Dusi grew up knowing everyone’s business and everyone knowing hers, because in Moonstone Cove, you can’t pass a restaurant, farm, or winery that doesn’t have at least one Dusi involved. Despite that, Toni has managed to carve out a private niche for herself. She has a car shop she loves, a country cottage all to herself, and has carefully avoided any long-term romantic commitments.
Then fate handed Toni a shot of supernatural empathy that threw all that out the window of her prized vintage Ford.
For a woman who prides herself on always being prepared, Toni has no idea how to handle a supernatural storm of emotion.
Toni is the tomboy of the Dusi family and she loves her indendence and time away from her very large, somewhat overbearing family! Did I mention that she isn't one to show her emotions?! Well, now that she has empathic abilities, she's finding the rollercoaster of emotions to be very trying.
Toni and her new best friends step in to help solve a murder that occurred at her cousin's winery. If that along with the whole town's emotions swirling around her isn't enough, love comes knocking at Toni's door too!
The story is laugh out loud hilarious with some heartfelt moments as well and fully entertaining! The bffs - Ton, Megan and Katerine - are so much fun. (I think Toni is my favorite of the trio.) From wine Wednesdays to solving mysteries, there is never a dull moment!
Not providing any specific details because that would take all the fun out of the story for anyone who reads this before reading the book!
LOVE that! 😁 Thx for playing!I think I started the first book in that series, but paused it b/c I wasn't feeling it at the time. Glad to see you're liking it, might need to return to it for another go.
I think all the books in that "Women's Paranormal Fiction" grouping are very much mood reads. I've started some and thought they were meh, but picked them up later and they were hilarious.
I agree. I’ve enjoyed quite a few, while others fell flat or felt like a repeat of one I’d already read (ie: recently divorced, moved to another town and/or inherited a house, magic ensues …) 😜
Hi all - thanks for a great round and making it easy on me to be captain! I will write my review soon for the last book so we can get that final stamp... I finished it very late on Thursday and sort of forgot.Looking forward to seeing ya'll around GR and to the next round of BSB!!

This is such a fun series with a different take on vampires. Not all of it always falls in line with the world the author built but for some reason it doesn't bother me. I always know I'm going to get a fun couple who are fated mates and sometimes fall in love faster than other times. This one was a little slower to build with Nick being a Rogue so he didn't immediately try to claim Jo. But I loved Jo's kick-ass attitude! She knew things were not quite right and she stood up for herself and Nick and forced everyone to deal with her honestly. Woman, hear me roar! I will keep reading this series - it's very long but I like learning about the new characters and how they all relate back to the originals.
Woohoo! Thanks again, LaurLa!I started that series so many years ago, but never kept up with it. I should return to it when I'm looking for something light and fun.
CONGRATULATIONS, Quirky Quad!We now have an updated BINGO card with a stamp on 'kindle freebie' and 'PNR'.
