Poet Laureate Philip Levine has Died

Philip Levine has died of pancreatic and liver cancer at the age of 87.

Mr. Levine was named the Poet Laureate for the United States in 2011. Among his many awards were the Pulitzer Prize in 1995 and the National Book Award for his book of poems in 1979.
