Second-chance romance about a man who returns to town and finds out he has a child

Might be considered either YA/NA. Spoilers ahead!! The book is about a man who returns to a small town where is ex-lover still remains. The woman has a child (I can’t remember if it was a boy or a girl). The man doesn’t know he has a child with the woman. He shows up and the woman believes he’s married, but he’s not. He was fixing up a house, and was good at woodshop. The man’s mom was a drug addict. I do remember that at some point his baby sister (I think her name is Paige) passes away because of ties with drug dealers. His mom eventually gets clean after the death of her daughter. The sister was also dating the love interest’s brother. It’s a dual perspective- and I think it might’ve been a two-book series. There author eventually created another book about the woman’s brother being a “playboy” after the death of his girlfriend when they were young.
