SOLVED. YA Fantasy. About two girls who get trapped in a book's storyline after going to the book's convention. [s]

It's a YA, and the publishing date is between 2016-2019.
The cover has trees, with the concept of the title letters being among the trees in the shadows. It also has to do with Canon. I know this is very vague, but it's too much to explain up here so it'll be noted at the bottom.
So, at the beginning, these two best friends ( girls, one is blonde) are getting ready to go to a book convention. They are big fans of the author and love the book, and when they get there, everything is fine. They go into a room away from the other people and get sucked into the book, I don't remember much about this part. I know that the society in this book is divided between "ugly" people and "pretty" people. So, when they get into the book they get saved by this guy, and he takes them in and feeds them what they later find out is rat. He didn't do it maliciously, he's just an "ugly" and is very poor. The girls get separated from him. The girls find their way to a "pretty" persons house, a male who the other ( not blonde) girl likes. She ( the non- blonde friend, lets call her E) gets a job as a maid, but the blonde girl is mistaken for a "pretty". E is more worried about getting home, but the blonde tells her it'll be fine and that this is her dream. E lives in one of the many shacks the maids and workers live in, and she gets kind of close with the pretty guy who owned the house. Then, E sneaks to his window but sees her best friend ( the blonde) having you know what with the pretty guy. She's sad, and the blonde looks at her. E runs away. One night, E and the pretty guy sneak out and he shows her a shack. In the shack are "pretty" people floating in tanks, and he tells her that the "pretty" people aren't real, and are just created by their parents with tech. There's several of him in tanks, too. E is creeped out, but she goes back to the shacks to sleep. The blonde is getting too comfortable in the book, and E just wants to go home. There's a part where E has to go through security, and she prays not to get the guard with blue eyes. She gets him anyways. He says E is pretty for a "ugly" ( by the way, Uglies is not the term they use for the poor and not pretty people. I just can't remember the name they called them) He then propositioned her to do the dirty. E's scared and he notices, and says she shouldn't act innocent, because doesn't "her kind" do it all the time? Just then, one of the kind guards saves her. After this, I only remember the ending. So, the Mayor of this place calls E to his office and tried to kill her. It turns out he brought them there to make the blonde girl somehow more interested in the "pretty" life.
**CANON PART**
This is where Canon comes in. He wanted the blonde to like the Pretties so that she would write in Canon, making the pretties stay rich and make the uglies their slaves. E is horrified, and they get out of the book somehow. She tells her everything, and although the blonde doesn't believe her, she does it. She makes the "uglies" rich and the "pretties" the underdogs. Also, the title had some sort of connection to canon as well. I just can't google it and find it right away because Canon is such a huge section of books. Sorry for the text wall!
