I just read a FB post about a 15-Minute Mystery, Thriller & Suspense Short Read. I've never heard of this. Has anyone written in this format or read stories like this? It's all new to me.

I haven't either. Personally, I don't even like short stories. But the reading habits of the youth are quite compromised. Attention spans in nanoseconds is my favorite phrase about that.
I recently attended a self-pub writing conference and short stories was one of many options the presenter said were selling and something to consider. However, she didn't call it a "15 min read" as this other author noted.
A 15 minute read is just about right for those travelling to work on the bus or train. Maybe we should all be writing 15 minute short reads. Amazon has a whole section on them and describes it as a book with 1 to 11 pages.
I'd be too embarrassed to offer something that short... I wrote a 16-pager in November, and just gave it away. I didn't know any company would publish anything that short.
It was just a little encouragement to the Bride, about looking forward to Jesus coming to get us. I called it Here comes King Jesus.

Here's how you can find these on Amazon... Best Sellers in 15-Minute Literature & Fiction Short Reads. Think of these as prologues to a longer book or a bonus epilogue. They are selling from .99 to $5.99 and my stats sales averaging 20 sales per month. It won't make you rich, but that's a lot better than giving away a story. And just like writing books, readership grows with books in a series.
Interesting. I have three NF short reads on Kindle which of course, would not be in the Lit & Fic category. One of them is a prequel to my memoir which I offered for free not long ago to my newsletter readers. Quite a few people took advantage of it. But did I garner any mew reviews for it? Nope. :-(
