Maybe the Monster of the Month Club series by Dian Curtis Regan?

The overarching story revolved around a little girl who would receive toys or dolls in the mail that came to life and were quite chaotic. I seem to associate them with monsters in my mind, so I don't know if they were called that in the books. I want to say her aunt had signed her up to receive the toys. It was a secret that the toys came to life and the girl had to constantly cover up their messes.
I only remember one of the monsters and it looked like a little girl Christmas elf. I believe she was on the cover of the book she was introduced in. Some of the others may have not been humanoid. Each book involved one or more of the monsters being added to the collection. The little girl did not know when she would receive a new one and it was usually an inconvenient surprise.
That's all I've got. I've been thinking about these books for a long time and have found it impossible to find them again.
