Robert (bidisasternerd) | 6 comments My name is Robert. I'm bi/pan and nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them. I teach and sing for a living and I love to read. I tend to prefer sci-fi/fantasy, but I love poetry and enjoy other types of fiction. I don't read a lot of non-fiction, but I'm working on changing that.

Welcome Robert! I have similar tastes in reading a lot of poetry and sci-fi/fantasy.

My spouse had a stroke in late 2019 and I pretty much stopped reading then. There was just no time with everything going on. Neither of us was prepared for life changes as we had both just turned 50. But things have been steadily improving with physical and occupational therapy. He's independent now for the most part.

I just started reading again in November 2021, and the only queer themed book I've read since then was the memoir Native Country of the Heart: A Memoir by Cherríe L. Moraga. It was fantastic though! I gave it 5 stars.

I would definitely be up for some queer themed sci-fi/fantasy!

I just started reading The Magpie Lord - a Christmas gift from a dear friend. I think it's more in the romance category, which is a genre I rarely read other than more literary ones like Call Me By Your Name of stuff like that. But so far I'm enjoying it.
