I'm not, but maybe I'll check the audios out for the rest of the series. I can see how they would be fun. Thanks!

No problem, Jan. It was entirely possible that I had made a mistake, as I hadn't written anything down yet this round. Glad to know there was a three available. :)

Jan | 20828 comments Great Karen!

message 785: by Barb (new)

Barb | 1628 comments Finished latitude 6 / 368 pages. It was good, but I prefer her Veronica Speedwell series. (I've not yet read her Lady Julia books, so I can't compare it to those.) If you want to learn how to kill someone without leaving evidence behind, this is the book for you :)

Unlike her series, this book is set in contemporary times - with some flashbacks to the late 60s - and I liked the four women the book focused on. There were enough twists to keep it interesting, but I'm not sure how I'd feel about this becoming a series.

Killers of a Certain Age, by Deanna Raybourn, finished 8/13/22 ★★★.5

Barb | 1628 comments I can take the last 6 with The Last Camel Died at Noon, #6 in the Amelia Peabody series.

message 787: by Jan, Moderator (new)

Jan | 20828 comments I appreciated your thoughts on Killers of a Certain Age Barb. I don't think I'll be in any rush to get to it. You should give the Lady Julia series a try. I love the interaction between her and Nicolas Brisbane. And the first book opens with some of the best "first" sentences of any book I've read. (view spoiler)

I'll get you updated with Last Camel.
