Mallory begins a friendship with nerdy David Sullivan who is an artist and photographer with a big crush on her. Your thoughts about how their relationship developed? What were some of your favorite moments between these two?

I loved this part of the story. My favorite part was when Mallory left with Brandon, but ended up coming back to David for help getting Tom back to the house. David went from geek to hero in a matter of minutes.

[Anita]

I agree, Brandon was a prime grade jerk and I'm glad that Mallory got to see that before she got to deeply involved with him.

My favorite part of that subplot was when Brandon let himself into the apartment and Mallory was still there. She had no problem setting him straight about what a jerk he was. I would have rewritten that scene and have Mallory breaking his perfect nose.

That would have been a great addition to the story.

When he tried to pull the sheet away, I would have had her throwing a punch at his perfect nose.

I agree with everyone. I loved this part. Mallory was taken in by the pretty face initially. Once she saw Brandon's true personality, she went back to David. He is a man who will love her for the person she is. He is also someone she can rely on finally.

I good punch in Brandon's nose would have been a good addition to the story.

Who better than Mallory to not be taken in by the superficial. I believe she “got” David not long after getting to know him.

I really loved this side plot and romance. Mallory is a great character and so is David. Their journey to a romance was just wonderful, especially getting David’s inner thoughts.

That scene with Brandon would have only been improved with Anita’s broken nose addition😏 What a jerk.

Was anyone else surprised to learn Mallory was a virgin?

I was. She let the town believe what they wanted, and she never defended herself. I guess she figured why bother, people will believe what they want to believe.
