Hey, Mike! I'm an experienced beta reader who constructively comments on everything about the plot, characters, pacing, writing, and more. Stories of the murder mystery sub-genre have always interested me, and if you add a blurb for this story, it'll be easier to finally decide if I can comment on your work with a target reader's scrutiny too.

For more details, samples, the base price, and testimonials, please visit my service page: https://fannaforbooks.com/beta-reader...

Let me know if you have any questions or require any clarifications. You can reply on here or send an email to fanna.the.blog@gmail.com Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Are you still looking for a beta reader?

I have four years experience developmental editing and 3 beta reading. I also have experience polishing manuscripts for publications and final drafts. My speciality is fantasy, but I also read paranormal, mystery, romance, historical fiction etc.
I’m flexible with pricing and dates. Also, for the new year I’m offering a discounted price for editing and beta reading, so if you’re interested let me know.

Hey! This sounds right up my alley! I tried to DM you on here but I think you may have that feature turned off. If you'd like to work together, please send me a message on here or my email: bookwormlisa@gmail.com. Have a good one!

Lace (lacifelker) | 23 comments Hi Mike,

If you’re still looking for people to beta your story, I’ve co-founded an editorial where we bring multiple people onto a manuscript rather than just one person. All of us have experience working for magazines and four years of beta reading/editing.

We have an initial meeting where we figure out what you would like to come from our reading of your story and we can go in-depth with line edits and talk about developmental editing.

Our editorial is also based out of Metairie, LA, so we’re always up for reading about New Orleans.

Here’s our website:

Our Instagram:

Our email:

And my Twitter:

Thank you!

Christine (cefletch) | 53 comments Hi Mike,

I saw your post and I would be happy to beta read for you. Your story sounds very good!

I am a beta reader and literary editor. I also do a bit of writing myself and murder mysteries are my favorite genre.

I see that your book involves the commercial shipping industry. I worked for K Line America, Maersk, and lots of tramp steamers for over thirty years, so I am quite familiar with that world.

You can see some recommendations on my website: www.Booksmith-Editing.com.

Just a heads up - I do not read erotica or violence porn. I'm not a prude by any means, but you would be amazed at the horrors I've been asked to read. I would assume your book does not contain anything offensive, but I like to include my disclaimer just to be sure.

Please message me or email me at Christine@Booksmith-Editing.com if you would like to discuss your book project further.

Thanks,
Christine

Hi, thanks for reaching out. I should have added trigger warnings for profanity, graphic violence and rape to my post. I don't think we are a fit.
