This book was partially read by my dad and I around the years 2004-2007. I rented it from the library, but cannot find it. It was about this traveler who was on a ship and discovers a new fruit while on an island? He's on the mission to bring his new discovery home but isn't sure how it will survive the journey. The book I read was a chapter book, and a hardcover with perhaps a fruit tree on the cover? The fruit had an interesting but clearly fake name to it. Something with Melon or Dew or Drop in it maybe?
