      No - this was the first I heard it. It's just called Night Shift or OverNights in my world of healthcare.
    
      When I read Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch series, I remember him remarking that night shift was referred to as third watch.

      Robin, you’re right! There was a TV show with that name and it centered around that shift from 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm.

      I don't remember ever hearing this shift referred as Third Watch. In my husband's company, they called it the Midnight Shift.
