Wow! What a way to kick of 2022 with such a great book! It was so good! I laughed, I cried, so many feels!!
The book follows a few people... It focuses on a father and son who are police and have responded to a hostage situation that happened after a bank robbery. The bank robber inadvertently walked in on an apartment/condo viewing that had two couples, an older lady, and a banker.
I love how Backman writes by revealing a little bit more with each chapter. As the story comes to light some of the things read in earlier chapters make total sense.
I love this book! My only (small) complaint is I wish there was more to the ending of Roger and Anna-Lena's story. There was something that I would have loved to see happen that didn't. (view spoiler)[I would have loved for there to be another apartment nearby that Roger and Anna-Lena made their Home and allowed Roger to be a grandparent to Julia and Ro's kid. (hide spoiler)]
Great book! So glad that I finally read it!!! Everyone remind me to make sure I add this to the my Best books of 2022 list in December! Ha!
