LaurLa | 26 comments Or maybe not duplicate. It seems as if the author (who goes by both above pennames for different genres) re-issued/published the "The Single Lady Spy" series as "The Burrow" and switched it to her Sophie Starr penname with completely different looking covers.

The series page for "The Single Lady Spy" has noted this and changed the series name but does not have any of the "The Burrow" editions added to the book pages. After searching on the "The Single Lady Spy" name, I found "The Burrow" book editions although they still have the "The Single Lady Spy" series names as subtitles.

I also searched for the series on Amazon (using the link in the first book's page) and Amazon is also confused as you can see from the link.

Lastly, I looked at the website for the author and on that site she has the series listed as "The Burrow" under Sophie Starr with the newer cover pages that are completely different in looks and feel from the originals.

So I'm not sure how things should be handled. Clearly the author intends the series to be named "The Burrow" under her Sophie Starr penname. However, if I simply add "The Burrow" editions to the existing "The Single Lady Spy" editions, the default will still come up as the originals. And maybe that's okay but it seems as if the Sophie Starr editions should be the defaults for searching. But maybe it won't matter as long as they are linked. But I did wonder if we should have 2 separate series pages, one for each name. But from what I can tell, the books haven't been changed or updated in anyway that would warrant that.

Sandra | 31529 comments Hi LaurLa :)

The author name should be the original name, and the newer books get the new name as a secondary author.

The books get combined.

The series name is changed to the new name, but we leave the old series name on the old book titles if they've been added.

Looks like the series has been changed, but the new books haven't been combined yet, possibly because of the site maintenance.

It's up to the author to create the default so that the new edition shows on the series page.
