Haha! Just something that the world has been talking about for the last 2 years! :P

I've seen other people on other groups have messaging issues. Some folks can; others can't. It must be a Goodreads problem.

I got a message through... dunno what's going on with messaging lately, someone had trouble sending me a message too while it's working fine for others.

We're waiting for Jammin' Jenny; if you could message her for us that would be great.
In the meantime, do we go ahead and roll tomorrow? Thanks!

I've been messaging a bunch of people I'm not friends with on GR, so that can't be it... Anyway, I've messaged her, hopefully she'll turn up.
Absolutely, go ahead and roll! In case you don't hear from her by the time the first set of reviews is due next week, just mark her as "didn't check in" and I'll remove her from the team.
I put this note in the sign ups for cases like this: "Please note: Players who sign up but fail to check in with their team by the time the first set of reviews is due will be removed from the team. Teams will not be penalized in these cases."

I'm wondering if moderators of groups are able to message members without actually being friends, while we that are not moderators can't.
This has happened to me a couple times, where I've interacted with moderators via message that aren't on my friends list. On the flip side, someone on another group [who doesn't own or moderate that group] asked me to send her a message and I was blocked until I requested her to be a friend and was accepted.

" One point can be earned for starting and finishing a series. There must be at least 4 books in that series"
Do they have to be read in order to claim the bonus

Answered in team thread, but I'll put it here too in case someone else is wondering: For cover colours, it needs to be 50% that colour.

They still haven't cked in. So do we get back up players?

Give it till Friday.
If neither of them has shown up by then, your team definitely has dibs on our one and only currently signed up back-up player as you're the only team missing two members. (Several other teams are still waiting for one.)
Wolf (Alpha) wrote: "So if we rolled an 11 is that both #1 in a series and #11?"
Your options for spot 11 are #1, #11, standalone (those can be used for 1 and 0), or the alternate option for that spot: Author 'N'

The rules say you can use any edition of the book you read, and who am I to argue with the rules? :D Just make sure you link the edition with the right cover for the alternate in your completion post.
Teams still missing members who haven't checked in:
Once all your checked in team members have posted their reviews, you can roll on Friday without having to wait and see whether the no-shows still turn up. Please mark them as "didn't check in" when you post the team's reviews.

When I gather all of the completion posts in our team thread to put on one post, can I copy and paste or do I need to post the link for author and book title like the player did in their original post?

Usually people just collect links to each individual completion post in a single team post, though you can also go the copy/paste route if you prefer. In that case, a link to the book would be helpful so I can quickly doublecheck that all is in order instead of having to go find right book first. No need to add the author link though.
Michelle wrote: "Is this ok to use for a standalone book?"
Sure!

Thank you!

If you are on a web browser and not the app this might help.
On a existing post hold your finger down or right click where the time or date is. It shoiuld give you the option to "copy link address"
That is what you need for each of the players reviews.
You can then use it with the html to make a nice text link or just paste each as the are if you do not know how to use the html.
Hope that helps, and good luck.

Coral never checked in. Can we have a backup player.

Thing is, I've got three missing players and only two on the back-up list, but since you're so keen on reinforcements I guess you can have one. ;) Contacting them now, so hopefully you'll have company soon.

Looks more red to me. I ran it through TinEye too, which also says it's red. Sorry. :(

Sure.

Thanks, I thought so, too. I wanted Denise to give the okay, tho, before our team member starts reading it.

For this...
NOTE:
✸ Each point can only be earned once per team.
✸ The series-specific bonus points (3 or more books/ starting and finishing a series) must be two different series.
So does that mean for every series we read of at least 3 books we get a point as long as they are different series & a different series and not part of the start & complete series?
Or can this one also be used only once in the team?
Also for the Valentine bonus is that only once per team or is that each individual player? Does only 1 person need to read romance or all team members reading romance that day?
