Ellie learns that someone from the law firm has embezzled $20,000, which is the same amount that suddenly appears in Lee’s accounts. Did you suspect he’d done that? Was that in conflict with what you knew about him?

I think this was thrown in to throw suspicion on Lee. But given what we put together about his character I didn't seriously believe he was behind the missing money.

I did wonder where it came from but I didn't beleive that he took it from the firm. Especially since he had been working so hard to make partner. As we learned more about the siblings and how he helped his brother Mac - didn't seem like he would do this.

So... Lee took the money to keep up his lifestyle from the criminals. And it was actually Frank who had embezzled the money from the firm? There were a lot of threads to sort through at the end to dissect and solve all the parts of the story.

Yes - there definitely were a lot of tangents along the way to the ending, lol

I agree. It did throw suspicion on Lee, but it didn't fit with what we had learned about him.
