Lester Fisher | 215 comments I am impressed with the covers that Authorhouse brought to my 2 books (a memoir). Happenstance's cover is Mt. Hood over a lake, reflecting my birthplace and upbringing the logging camps and towns of the Pacific Northwest. the back cover is of Klimanjaro overlooking the planes of Tsavo in Taita-Taveta District where I was stationed in the Peace Corps.

The cover on my second book, Against the Tide shows Mt. St. Helens before the eruption and the back cover is of the same mountain after the eruption. It is a metaphor for the hopeful beginning of my first marriage to a Taita woman and her family, which ends in an unfortunate eruption of circumstance.

I agree, Robin!

Valentina, I think I'm going to do this for one of my book covers as well to see what people think. Thanks.

Christine L. Henderson (christinelhenderson) | 206 comments Since the nose and mouth are off kilter and there are slash marks in the artwork, I'd say it's about a once beautiful woman who lost her beauty by an accident or a murderous attempt and now has to learn how to live by her wits rather than beauty and a bit of revenge due the cause of her transformation.
