This was a fantastic collection of stories, each had a stand alone story but they were all connected. The book starts with a girl who has been in an accident and survived due to some sort of genetic or stem cell type intervention. As the story goes on there are moral panics, more complex modifications. A boy who starts the book with an incurable cancer is frozen and wakes up to be in a dystopian future where there is only a Russia and and America involved in war and he is being changed into a cyborg.
