2. The goblin king. *shudders*
3. (view spoiler)
4. On my first read, I was surprised that (view spoiler)
5. I thought it was epic and magical, a wonderful entrance to the world of Middle-earth!

My favorite hero is of course Bilbo, but I also love Smaug as a villain.
2. Who is your least favorite character?
Thorin--while he has one of the most significant character arcs in the story, his narrow-mindedness throughout most of the book makes him difficult to endear sympathy/empathy.
3. If you could change one thing in the book, what would it be?
I would flesh out the storyline of the Necromancer and the Ring. Of course when Tolkien wrote The Hobbit he had not envisioned the significance of the Ring which comes to fruition in The Lord of the Rings, but it would be interesting to see what else would have changed in the story (aside from the changes he made to Gollum in the Riddles in the Dark chapter).
4. What do you think of the ending? (with a spoiler tag, please)
(view spoiler)
5. What's your overall opinion of the book?
I absolutely adore the way Tolkien wrote to children. There are many adult themes and messages in this book, and he does not shy away from them. He does not talk down to his audience. And it is because of this that this book can continue to be enjoyed, and new things glommed from The Hobbit, well into adulthood. Pure magic.

2. There was not a character I did not like necessarily, but there were parts where Thorin was a little annoying.
3. I would probably change the length of the chapters. XD
It isn't necessarily a bad thing to have long chapters, but I have always loved short chapters!
4. For some reason the spoiler tag is not working for me so be warned!!!
*SPOILER*
Okay so I thought the ending was really sweet and I found myself smiling at the resolve of things. I am really sad that Fili and Kili died :(
Nonetheless, I think Tolkien did an amazing job at resolving everything.
*END SPOILER*
5. I overall really enjoyed this book. There were a couple instances where it was a little dry, but I loved hearing about all the adventures Bilbo and the dwarves had!

2. I mean, their all well-done, but I feel like one of the Dwarves, because their so unfortunately minor.
3. GIVE THE DWARVES MORE CHARACTER!!! And to spend more time in the more fascinating places (like Lake-town, Mirkwood, or Rivindell.)
4. It was satisfying, but... I hated how little detail was in every little thing. Like... "the goodbies" (to be said without spoilers) were just mentioned, didn't even explain how. It really made me not care.
5. My review states my opinions as much as I cared to lol. It dragged at a certain point, but it was overall pretty good.

2. Master of Laketown, or the goblins
3.((hide spoiler)(the death of Fili and Kili)(end spoiler))
4.utterly Delightful. though slightly boring in a few places. 5 stars!
1. Legolas!! (I'm just kidding XD) Bilbo, of course!
2. I actually didn't like the Dwarves very much! I loved their singing and some parts were amazing, but overall.... I don't know. I've read this book multiple times, but it's been a few years (and I didn't have time to read along this past month), so I definitely need to update my reading there.
3. More poems, please?
4. It was so sweet!
5. I love The Hobbit. I always will. Maybe this is a fault of mine, but I can't seem to dislike anything by Tolkien. I've seen what wonders he can work, so everything written by him is pure magic to me.
