Luke | 2 comments I read this book when I was in Middle school, so early 90's. I believe it was in the school library. Title may have something to do with 'skeleton', or maybe not.

The book starts with a young man (IDK age, maybe mid-late teens?) waking up in a cement block/stone basement/dungeon. As he wanders around, he finds other kids (I believe they were all males). Each person's room has a nameplate; the main character's may have been "O'Malley".

SPOILER!
The characters surmise that the food/drink being provided (via a platform that's lowered to them?) has a drug of sort in it. When they stop taking it, they begin to remember things and eventually escape and find themselves in some sort of monastery, being [held/cared-for] by monks?
