YA stand-alone: Girl (in Africa..?) is part of group that breaks into home of landowner. She wants revenge because she thinks said man killed her mother. Son of landowner catches her breaking into house and then helps her to find out the truth. Feel like there is a character named Bug? Read in 2021, I thought it was a new release that year but didn’t find on any booklists of new releases. Cover was maroon and blue (?) polka dots.
MC has a sister in school (convent?). The MC and homeowners son grew up together even though her mom worked there. Girl travels to moms village to find out more info about past
