I saw a really cool looking book at B&N last night called Parasite that I might go back and grab for this😍
I might read Mongrels by Stephen Graham Jones for this one! So far I have liked everything else I have read by him. Although it also has a yellow cover….
I read Video Night by Adam Cesare for this one. Between The Faculty vibes and all the 80’s nostalgia, this was super fun! Solid 4 🌟. I think I may have found another favorite author 💕.
I finished Predator: South China Sea by Jeff VanderMeer. It was a lot of fun, definitely heavy on the carnage. And VanderMeer managed to work in some of his ecological / transformational weirdness.
Road of Bones by Christopher Golden. Fast paced book set in the extreme cold of Siberia. Definitely made better by reading during some of the coldest days of the year. Went in thinking a haunted highway built over the bodies of political prisoners was the main scare, but it was Golden’s descriptions of solitude and deadly sun-zero temps that kept me on edge. The story went a completely different route than I originally anticipated but was done so well that I couldn’t be mad about it.
just finished Stolen Tongues by Felix Blackwell. creepiest book I've read in forever! had to sleep with the lights on last couple of nights
