Kristy, yes meeting the author is a lot of fun.
I’ll look out for your review.
Finished "The Kind Worth Killing" by Peter Swanson. It was great. 4 - 🌟. Plenty of twists and a very satisfying ending. Currently reading "Her Last Breath" by Dan Padavona. It is not so great. It's ok enough but just that. Ok enough. Very cookie cutter, garden variety, generic suspense novel.
I put The Homewreckers aside for a couple of days. It's a bit slow-going for my taste and was taking a little longer to finish than I expected. I have The Soulmate Equation from the library and it's due back in two days, so I decided to read that first, then go back and finish Homewreckers. I got through 47% just today and so far it's been more fun and a much faster read.
I've also gone back and restarted Sundial. I had put it aside for other reads and decided to restart instead of picking up where I left off. I'm glad I did because I'm enjoying it more this time around.
I seem to be putting a lot of books aside for other reads. I seem to be feeling a bit slumpy. Hopefully, I've reached my turning point now and will fly through a few books.

I loved The Soulmate Equation, Kristie. the ending was a little frustrating to me but it's still one of my favorite romances so far (I'm still a little new to this genre though).
I'm really enjoying it, Jenna. It's not my typical genre either, but I seem to be gravitating towards it more often lately. I have quite a few holds on similar books through my library right now. My only issue with the book right now (half way through) is that (view spoiler) I am trying to ignore that one bit though and am otherwise really enjoying it much more than my previous read.
If you're interested in trying out other authors in the genre, I really loved the books I've read by Katherine Center (especially Things You Save in a Fire and How to Walk Away). I also loved Great and Precious Things by Rebecca Yarros. I think they are both excellent writers.

I just got
, by Jacqueline Bublitz. It sounds like such a good one. Two women in NYC, one dies and lives inside the others head. It’s a thriller, but also a character exploration of why there is so much interest in reading about dead women. I like thrillers/true crime so looking forward to this. I started
, Maggie Shipstead. This is rated so high, but have had a bit of a hard time getting into it. I think the main problem is it’s a book I need time to pay attention to, and reading some, listening to some on 🎧 is too distracting. I’ve only read 10%, so putting it aside until I finish a couple of others and then coming back to it. Last, I love the author Lynda Cohen Loigman and was glad to get approved for
. I think I will read this 2nd, as it seems like an upbeat, romantic and magical story which I’m in the mood for.
I finished The Homewreckers
by Mary Kay Andrews. This was a pretty average 3★ read for me.

It's such a perfect way to wind down from the day and has been helping me ease my stress.
In regards to the Soulmate Equation (view spoiler) Have you read The Love Hypothesis? I thought it had very similar vibes to the Soulmate Equation but I liked it even more.
I ended up really enjoying The Soulmate Equation. I think that one shift was just too sudden for me. If it had been more gradual it wouldn't have bothered me at all.
I have not read The Love Hypothesis yet, but I plan to. It has made it onto my list of reads. Thanks for the recommendation. I'm also really looking forward to Something Wilder.

Kristie, glad you liked The Soulmate Equation. I have been reading a lot of heavy books lately and looking for a good romance. This one seems like that. Thanks.
I'm listening to a historical mystery set in Elizabethan England:To Shield the Queen by Fiona Buckley
I just finished "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern. It was wonderful. I'm currently reading "The Other Side of Night" by Adam Hamdy. It's really good.
I just finished reading My Wife Is Missing. It was pretty twisty. If you enjoy books that keep you guessing, you may enjoy this one.

I am reading Winterland, Rae Meadows. I just started it, but it’s about Gymnastics in the 1970’s in the Soviet Union. So far, I like it.
Just Started A Column of Fire, by Ken Follet. Been reading that trilogy on "Book per Year Basis" as a long novel read in the covid years. Nowadays, this is the last, and I'm already enjoying it a lot. :)A Column of Fire
I finished Stay Awake
today. I would definitely recommend it.
