Late last night Pete said something about going for his sunday run in the morning. I said " but today is sunday". I actually had to ask Alexa before I'd believe him! The Christmas break always does this to me - two weeks with nothing to do but eat does odd things to the brain LOL

I'm at Teal Pond where the body of a young woman has been found floating in the pond. Apparently her murder was never solved.

I'm also in Louisiana where I'm hoping my body doesn't end up floating in the swamp. Someone wants me dead.

I am also in Cornwall. Having lost one of my twin sons to a terrible accident, my wife and son have taken advantage of a unique offer. We can live in an incredible house overlooking the sea free of charge except for maintenance. A new beginning. Of course, it is said to be haunted…

I'm back in East Yorkshire with a brand new profiling unit in the police force finishing off a read from last year when I thought I could knock out 16 reads in two months (bwahahaha).

There is a serial arsonist, and a nasty person kidnapping and killing teenage girls. I know who the nasty person is, just waiting for the police to work it out.

I'm heading to Baton Rouge, Louisiana where I'm a psychologist getting ready for my wedding. Unfortunately, teenage girls have started to go missing. Since my father was arrested for being a serial killer when I was twelve and six teenage girls went missing, this seems oddly familiar to me.

Peggy remarked in another thread the other day about avoiding war novels for the past years, and I agree entirely regarding WWII novels. Every book I picked up seemed to be about WWII. I mean, I know it was horrific, but jeez come on. Be inventive with your horrific historical settings. So was trepidatious about this one, but it has an interesting spin on the setting so far.

I'm in North Carolina. I'm hoping to figure out why an old woman doesn't want me to live in my new house. My husband died in it while building it, but that shouldn't cause her to try to scare me out of it. Also, what happened between my father and my new neighbor when they were younger? They have some sort of history that neither wants to discuss. I'm hoping to figure all of this out today.
