SOLVED: Children's/YA > SOLVED. YA Fantasy (I think) where the main character is a teenager who lives with his parents, does track and runs all the time, he never gets tired running. Read around 2017-2018. [s]

Lok Hunt | 2 comments gets chased by creature that falls from a hole in the sky and are invisible, has one and or both parents taken over by parasitic creatures that leave lumps on their neck, he runs away from home and gets help from a man in a weird car that tells him to go to a university out of state, he runs away and is able to hitch a ride past a lockdown by border control(by the bad guys) with the help of a very helpful taxi driver, gets on a plane and gets special sunglasses that allow him to see these invisible creatures on the wing, is told by the man that owned the weird car that these creatures start invisible but slowly become visible after a period of time and the glass allow him to see them regardless of how fresh they are.
I've got way more to tell but I can't remember the main character's name or the books name, but I remember reading it around 3-4 years ago.
the main character has really good spatial awareness and can see all around him even in the dark, has telekinesis, has huge amounts of stamina and he loves running a lot and becomes a runner at the university.

Becca (beccalikesbooks) | 5549 comments I'm pretty sure this is The Paladin Prophecy by Mark Frost. Here's the Google Books preview:

You can search for keywords e.g. 'neck' or 'glasses' to find the scenes that you describe.
