No-one of these are available through my library, except 56 Days. I still have a bunch on my wishlist that are under $5, but it is going to take me years to get through these.

Someone in one of my other groups just posted that today is World Book Day. Usually Amazon gives away books from around the world to celebrate. Has anyone seen anything?

I looked back on my World Book Day shelf and the books were all added middle of April for 2019, 2020, and 2021. I wonder if Amazon puts them up middle of April?

Wow, Kristie! Lol. You know you will not find judgement here.

I didn't hear anything. My idea is the same as Janice. World Book Day is on April 24th (I'm pretty sure), and Amazon has the "sale" the week before or around it.

I bought:
Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind
Our Oriental Heritage (#1 in a series of 11 books)
I plan to buy next the three books by Susan Wise Bauer of The History of the World. I'll probably check out the first one from the library to try her style and see if I like it. Historians can be very dry sometimes, although she has great reviews on that regard.

I thought it was April too. Maybe she was just confused. lol

I thought it was Ap..."
I googled, and it did say that World Book Day was today. The site was all children related, so I'm not sure if it's a different observance.

Reunion in Death
Purity in Death
\Portrait in Death
Imitation in Death
And I'll probably get the whispersync for A Bad Day for Sunshine.

Kindle daily deal - A Life Without Water
Audible's 2-1 sale:
Ashes of the Sun
Later Gator

I spent quite a bit of time going through the 2-1 sale, but ended up not getting anything. There were a few books I was interested in, but nothing on my to read list that I couldn't get a physical copy of through the library and I had just bought so many through the previous sale that I figured I wouldn't have the time for them right away anyway so I skipped it.

- the 5 books of The World of Others: book 1 to 5. I wanted to reread them from the library, but they didn't had the physical copies anymore. I think they got rid of it or offered them up for the annual bookselling of the library. They only had the ebooks. So, I bought them instead.
