I finally managed to write a review for this one.Unfortunately I didn't love it. 3 stars
Metronome by Tom Watsonhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished and liked
Kon-Tiki by Thor HeyerdahlHeyerdahl was a controversial man in his day, but he did prove one part of his outrageous theory (recent DNA testing as shown he was partly right on another part of it, too)
Here's my review.

I finished What Lies in the Woods
. It was really good. This was my first book by this author. my What Lies in the Woods review
Here is my 4.09 rounded to 4 stars review of Wicked Dreams
by Lisa Jackson and Nancy Bush:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
The authors brought suspense, interesting characters, and an exciting story line together in a thrilling novel. This writing duo brings a twisty and chilling tale to readers with excellent characterization and terrific. world-building that fits well with the story line.
Maror by Lavie TidharA 'hard-boiled' fictionalized history of organized crime in Israel that takes its title from the bitter herb.
I am not sure how it will work for people who don't get the Israeli historical references.

My favourite book of 2022 with a stunning narration5 stars
Isaac and the Egg by Bobby Palmerhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Tough, stubborn young teen Duchess Day Radley says she is an outlaw and will do whatever she has to to protect her little brother in
We Begin at the End
by Chris Whitaker. Good story, bit too long.
3.5★ My review of We Begin at the End
I wound up a yearly challenge with a new favourite book, Too Much Lip, by Aussie Aboriginal author Melissa Lucashenko. It is like sitting on the verandah with an indigenous family in a small town in Northern NSW.Love, jealousy, land rights. Lots of language, both Aboriginal and swearing. Loved both the written and audio editions.
5★ My review of Too Much Lip
I finished Back in a Spell
by Lana Harper. My 3.7 rounded to 4 stars review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Lana Harper knows how to draw readers into a story with great characterization and world-building. This is the third book in The Witches of Thistle Grove series.
Plenty of criminal acts but justice is not in sight in
The Way to the Spring: Life and Death in Palestine by journalist Ben EhrenreichMy review -- https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I was pleasantly surprised by Joanna Bourne's Spymasters series. It's historical romantic suspense with more emphasis on the political intrigue than on the romantic pairing. Set during 1790s to about 1820 in France and England.
The Forbidden RoseMy review for the series -- https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I am currently reading One Last Child
and plan to finish before the end of the year. I am also reading 12 Days of Book-Club-Mas
, which is fun because each story comes with a little gift. I'm not sure when I'll finish it though.
I finished Tails, You Lose
by Carol J. Perry.My 3.58 rounded to 4 stars review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Paranormal cozy mystery with a bit of romance set in Salem, MA.

This is the thirteenth book in the SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team paranormal romantic suspense series. As always, this author does a great job of bringing action, romance, and suspense to the story line.
