Sandra Barker | 29 comments Greetings! I'm new to this group, but felt like a Christian community is the best place for me to join. I've been saved since I was 8 years old - and that's been a very, very long time (: I've grown more in the past 20 years than in the previous many years, because I began doing indepth Bible studies (like Beth Moore studies). They've been such a blessing! I have 13 book titles on Amazon, but sadly, not many books get sold. Many of my books are Christian inspirational. I love to travel and, of course, love to read. I have six wonderful grandchildren and I feel so blessed! I look forward to meeting other members of this group.

Sandra Barker | 29 comments Hi Emma, I am from Virginia in USA. I notice you are from England. I LOVE England and want so badly to visit there again. My dream is to live there for at least a month (: I read your blurb about your books. They sound interesting. Are you considering the one-world ruler in your book to be the anti-christ? I've studied a lot about the end times described in the Bible and believe we are living in them now (not the tribulation yet, just the end times leading up to it). Are your books about the tribulation period?

Janet Ruth | 33 comments Hi Sandra. Welcome to the group.

I can relate to having few sales. My books don't seem to resonate with people, but at least I learned something new from each one I wrote. Your book list seems very ecclectic. Is there a central theme you write about?

Sandra Barker | 29 comments Yes, my titles are eclectic. Many years ago, I began writing novels, I didn't publish them until maybe 15-20 years later (after editing them considerably). By then, I was more interested in writing Christian inspirational and spiritual books - something with eternal value. My last six titles have been in that vein - except for a couple of children's books for fun. My latest publication is actually a 42-page booklet about salvation for the seeking soul, called The Way, The Truth and the Life. Although I never expect it to be any sort of commercial success, it has been much appreciated by parts of the Christian community, especially those involved in soul-witnessing and also jails and prisons. I've donated hundreds of the booklets to a half-dozen such facilities and they have been given to the inmates. I'm trusting God to use them to His glory. I looked at your blog and your Goodreads page - very nice (: I'm like you were, surprised at how so many Christians can have such different outlooks on God and His Word. I, like you, do believe one of the issues is probably a lack of study in the Bible. I even wrote a book using Old Testament stories to try and encourage people to read the OT. Even though I think it would be so, so helpful to those who've never studied the OT, it hasn't sold many. Those who have read it, really liked it. Oh, well, it's all in God's Hands. I'd love to "talk" with you more. I'm going to request you as a friend.

I accepted your friend request. Thanks for asking!

I also started by writing a couple of novels before switching to Christian non-fiction. I only published one of the novels.

Sandra,
We are blessed you joined. Welcome! Thirteen books are quite an accomplishment. I wish I was that prolific. I pray that God continues to bless you and your writing ministry.
James

Emma Bloor | 20 comments Hi Sandra Yes my series does go into the tribulation. The antichrist is fully ruling at he start of the stories. There has been some scary moments with him too! Somebody once said it was like Left Behind and then some 🤣
England is a beautiful country if only it would stop raining!!!
Welcome and every blessing to you x
