I took two books to today's get together in Hornsby, came home with The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth as my mystery book (thanks Phrynne?) and got a good chunk of my current book read on the bus and four trains. Lunch was delish, espec the birthday cake.

And I received for my mystery book (thanks Veronica) A Jewish Girl in Paris, which I am happy about!

That is an excellent book day, what gems to have in a street library. We don't have any nearby. I want to have one at my house but someone won't agree. I loved Tom Lake. Enjoy, Marianne!
Lifeline book fair, I was about to despair that I'd leave empty handed, but spotted Go Tell the Bees that I am Gone for $6

I just checked and that book has 960 pages. That's more Cormoran Strike and Robin than I can cope with in one book. The last one is still gathering dust on my shelf:(

On my way to meeting with a book club group, found The Judge's List in the street library, and, as I was early, I popped into the library to check out their book sale: all books 50c. I came away with The Lincoln Highway, Fairy Tale, See You At The Toxteth, The Testament of Loki and Devotion

There's plenty of items on sale at Target. I took the 30 metre walk to the price checking machine to find out the price of book with no sticker or shelf label. A hardcopy of Horse by Geraldine Brooks went home with me for $5.
