No one gets email notifications now Dale, but if you tick the little box at the bottom "notify me when people comment", you'll then receive notifications from the icon at the top of the page.

Dale, immediately below your comment 2285, on this Goodreads webpage, are the words 'reply' and 'flag'. If you click REPLY, you will get part of the comment you're replying to in italics above your reply, as you see your words in my reply here. [The flag is to warn GR about a nasty comment.]

Then there's the list of pages and back to top.

Last of all, on the right, under Reply, is an empty square next to the Notify me phrase.

If you click in that square, it will turn blue (on my screen) with a white tick, and that means you will (mostly) get notifications when someone adds a comment on this discussion.

This is comment 2285 Dale. Each comment has a number. The one before this one is 2287 and so it goes backwards :)
