Two Envelopes And A Phone I just finished The Hunger by Alma Katsu . I really enjoyed this one - went by very fast, hard for me to put down, all that. Perhaps the author's style needs to be scarier, to get the full effect.

Dogman, Bigfoot, and Something More, Volume 2 A Brief Collection of Encounters by P.D. King

I only want to mention this ebook because one of the allegedly true stories featured in there caught my special attention. In the story/report, some young people ventured onto a cemetary in order to record EVP (inspired by ghosthunting shows). They didn't record anything, but stumbled upon a weird creature described as being between three and four feet tall, brightly furred and with the ability to turn its head like an owl. It also was reportedly digging around in the cemetary soil.

The creature described bears a strinking resemblance with a lesser-known cryptid known as Gravedigger, as described by Barton M. Nunnelly in his book The Inhumanoids:

https://www.deviantart.com/kaitlynbul...

https://www.unexplained-mysteries.com...

The witness story didn't mention the monicker "Gravedigger" at all. They were possibly completely unaware a sighting history of such things exists. The sighting allegedly happened aroudn 2007 or 2018 in New Jersey.

Aww, that's a bummer.

I finished up What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher by T. Kingfisher. LOVED IT! It's based on Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher, but has it's own twists and turns.

I have never read anything close to a bad book by Malfi. My least favorite of his I would still rate 7.5-8/10.
