OK I had to start reading Burnt Offerings, all your fault Kimberly and Char ( great reviews btw) also today is my 1 year anniversary to moving into a house in Long Island so quite fitting. I should celebrate and finish unpacking all my books lol.

I’m enjoying it so far, but I’m having trouble keeping the images from the old 1970s B-movie out of my head as I read. It wasn’t a very good film, but it was written by my old pal William F. Nolan and I’ve always had sort of a soft spot for it.

The House Across the Lake was so good! 5 stars!
I'm almost done with Ninth House which I'm liking a lot too!
The Hunger, and Other Stories
A re-read of the first collection by Twilight Zone writer Charles Beaumont. Some of these stories I know very well, while others I haven’t looked at in decades.
Oooo I've been reading so little...and I have 3 books pending. But to get out of thi slump I started
on my kobo; something easy, not struggling. I don't know , something different.

Gets off to a blazing start on the 4th of July! Just right for this time of year. :)"
update: Not finished yet. It's well written and not uninteresting but there needs to be more horror, more sense of impending doom or at least some creepiness. I was expecting something a little bit scary. :(

Stephen wrote: "I am still reading books!!!!!!!!!!!"Hey, I still get books from the library all the time! Sometimes digital, sometimes in person. You aren't alone!

I agree.
It looked like a book that should be good but I couldn't finish it.

Char wrote: "Randy wrote: "I am so sorry, but I hated that Cantero book. I hope it works better for you!"I'm bogging down a bit in the cryptography section. I see what he's trying to do, but don't have the attention span to follow it too closely.
Still, I like the quotidian (we'll get a dog!) mixed with the supernatural and mystical (crystal balls), and the irreverence of A.'s tone of voice. That tone deflates some of the melodrama you can get with haunted house novels.
The End of Alzheimer's: The First Program to Prevent and Reverse Cognitive Decline by Dale E. Bredesen
