SOLVED. YA or Fiction where there are two plots. One is a mom with a missing child and the other is a girl being bullied about her mom. Read in 2021. [s]

Plot one-The lady is an elder librarian who lives alone with her dog. The dog is a golden retriever. Her work at the library brings her in direct contact with the bullied girl. Her daughter is a runaway I think and may have done this before. I think she ran away this time (years before?) because the mom found drugs in her room.

Plot two-A girl is being bullied through texts. I think she is in middle school or a freshman. The bullying has something to do with her moms age. Like maybe the mom was underage when she had the girl? I think the girl is going to the library a lot to do research and find out about her mom.

I read the book sometime this year. I did not get to finish it, so what I have here is all of my knowledge.

No, that’s not it
I think the cover was just black but I’m not sure
It’s now I guess since she’s being bullied over texts and maybe Facebook
