To complete hands four and five we need:
3 Ones
1 Four
1 Two
2 Nines

Cool! I'll be done with 2 Red and 7 Red tomorrow too. And one more 5.

Also we're done with 7's :-D. With only three 5's left the rest would be a piece of cake.

I haven't had any luck planning for this. There are so many of us and everyone is reading so quickly. So I've opted to read whatever and add it to the spreadsheet after 😂. Please let me know if you need me to cover something specific. My other group challenge ends this week, so I'll be more focused on Uno.
I have 3 books that I'm going to drag in to tomorrow as I'm sure they can fit some mini challenge tasks. I've noted them as in progress on the spreadsheet.

"I need to update the official spreadsheet because mods will be checking our stats in order to see if any reserves/pixie cards will be required."
What are reserves/pixie cards?

Reserves are people who registered for UNO but couldn't get in because teams were complete or they registered late. They substitute members who go MIA (Missing In Action).
Pixie cards are books given by the mods (as Pixie, a wildcard member) in certain situations. Like when a member hasn't responded or participated/read in a while. They give you a number of books from Pixie to compensate for MIA members at some point. I don't know what the rules are (if any) when none of the team members have left but the number of books are too low.
We aren't that far below expected, actually we are almost where we're suppose to be by mid Feb. We have some teammates reading below expected but also ones reading more than expected. And that's OK. As long as all of us are participating somehow, I think there's no need for moving anything team-wise.
I guess mods do this mid-month to make sure they keep the dynamic fair.

Great, thanks! I think we'll be giving our hands a very big boost tomorrow since a few of us are holding more than one book.

I've been managing to read more than usual as my husband has been really busy working late and I have decided to just read after putting my little man to bed.

more! : )

We knocked off almost all of our harder cards.
Reverse, WD4 and 7's are done.
Only two 5's and 2 skip's left.
I used a Corina book for 6 Red, I will finish my 7 Red today, and with that all color cards will be done.
The rest of the cards usually come by easily, which means we can focus on finding books for the mini.
Good job everyone!

Here's the list for the mini tasks still available:
4. Read a book where a place (house, flat, office, barn etc.) gets renovated or built
6. Read a book with the letters B*U*I*L*D*E*R in the title (subtitle can be used as well)
8. Read a book where a character is painting or decorating something
15. Read a book with some kind of furniture or decor piece on cover or the word in the text (x2)
19. Read a book with the letters G*A*R*D*E*N in the title (subtitle can be used as well)
22. Read a book with any word related to the weather in the title or series title (any form is accepted, e.g.: rain(s), rainy, raining, etc.)
I have an option for the GARDEN one, but I don't think I can squeeze it on my list, unless someone has an option for one of the books I'm currently taking.
And I know probably is temporary, but we are ranking #1 :D.

And well done team! :D

I found a short audiobook that I can listen to for the B*U*I*L*D*E*R task. I will enter the book to the spreadsheet and that will be my next audio read.

It doesn't matter if he's fictional or not, more important is how much he is relevant to the story. If only gets mentioned briefly doesn't count. But if some part of the story is impacted by him, maybe covers a few pages, even if he's not a developed character he can count.

Thank you! That's good to know. I plan on starting the audiobook on Monday, so once I get more into the book I may be able to update more categories on the spreadsheet.

I did some changes in the mini in order to fit in a couple of books finished by Bella and Melanie. Corina agreed for Bella's book to take one of the "furniture or decor" tasks she had. I removed my book in the trees task to put Melanie's last read. I also was able to place one of Kira's in the 4 colors one I also had.
The only task not claimed is
"8. Read a book where a character is painting or decorating something".
Any takers?
I'll try to place the books finished first by any of you in the mini, unless the book already in place is in "Currently Reading" status.
It helps if you look for a task for your book and write it next to the points column as a suggestion.

I seem to remember that in the Bromance Book Club book 1 there is some decorating involved, but I already read it and I'm not a huge re-reader.
I will have another search.

I'll be finishing both the other two mini books by this weekend.
So I'll be free.

Thank you Veronica. I admire your organizing skills.

Thanks Heli, that's very kind.

+++UPDATE+++
One week left, 16 cards left =16 books to read.
Seems a lot still, but we are 8 members and all of us are contributing. Is totally doable.
The books still pending for the mini are:
Jojo:
- If Walls Could Talk
- Broken (In the best possible way)
Veronica:
- Girl with a Pearl Earring: A Novel
- The Devil's Highway
- Beartown
Heli
- The Four Winds
Corina
- The Ocean at the end of the lane
Vanessa
- The Escape Room
I will definitely finish my books by the end of the month. If someone with a book on the mini thinks will not make it, please give us a heads up pronto so someone still has time to look for something else.
The books listed for the mini are eight. Eight more and we will complete our hands. Let's do this!

It also works for a 3, a 6 or a 9 on our cards. I'm more than happy to find another book that would work for whatever other cards we need.
Let's do this! :-)

I will have at least 5 more complete before the end of February.
Project Hail Mary, Beautiful Disaster, and Crown of Gilded Bones are well under way.
Then with another week and weekend I'll finish another 2 or 3 for sure.
We have until February 28th to complete books for this month right? Can we carry over anything extra into March? Or do we start them and wait to complete until March so they count (similar to the rules for the mini?)? Or do books have to be started in March?

I will have at least 5 more ..."
Books started in February can be carried on, so they will count for March. Finished date is the one that counts for the month. If you finish it in April it will count for April, but it should've been started with UNO on February, not before.
So you're gonna keep us on the edge, uh? hehe. I think if we see that the hands are getting completed before you finish all, we can do something like with the mini, holding them a while to be counted for March. But you keep doing your thing and we will see near the weekend how we progress. Is better to have to spare than falling short.
