There's this classic Québécois book, Maria Chapdelaine. It was published some 100 years ago, after the author's death. I am aware of at least two other authors who have written sequels - Rosette Laberge wrote one sequel, Après la résignation, and Philippe Porée-Kurrer wrote two sequels that are not yet on Goodreads but that I will add soon, making it into a trilogy. These series are not the same story, but they both have the original Maria Chapdelaine as their first book. Is it possible to create two series containing the same book, and should I?

Melanti | 761 comments It is possible to create two series for the same book, but I don't think most sequels to classic books get put into a series.

There's probably dozens of sequels to Pride and Prejudice, for example and if each one got its own series page, it would be rather messy.

That's a good point. It does get a bit confusing if you check one of those series, though, and the first book is missing. Since there are only two series that I know of I figure I'll be safe adding it to them, but if I discover any more maybe just adding a note would suffice.

Actually, now that I look, there are some other sequels by other people. Maybe notes for all of them would be best.
