I remember reading a novel, a dystopian young adult one, where everyone is living on the streets other than a few people lucky enough to live in falling apart homes. There is mud and flooding everywhere. Technology is made of plants /plants grow technological parts. And I remember something about a white tower. I think the cover was orange or green...

Can you describe the main character?"I must have read it about 4 or 5 years ago. I think the main character was a teenaged girl. I think there was a teenaged boy and they were trying to rescue someone from some kind of government stronghold.
