SOLVED. YA Romance? Girl gets assaulted, changes her name and changes school... Spoilers ahead. [s]

The main female character was assaulted and afterwards she started dressing provocatively and changed her name to I think a Russian name or something like that. I think she went to a new high school and the main male character had some issues because his family died or something and he would hang out in his garage at night and the main female character was drawn to his street? At the end it turned out she was assaulted by just some random mentally ill guy, it wasn't personal? And she started going by her real name again. (This sounds like an awful description but my memory is spotty, just remember how much I liked the book and want to recommend it but can't remember the title. I do remember the author has not really written much else when I checked at the time). Can anyone help???
